1. Learn how to see the light


The quality, the color and the direction of the light is very important, as well as contrast, highlights and shadows. They are all playing a huge role in photography, and you can easier set your exposure. Take different kinds of photos of the same location or thing. Horizontal shots and detail shots are always popular.

6. Frame it


Look for a doorway or a window to frame the person of the subject that you are photographing, something that will frame. It will be a much more interesting picture.


7. Beware of the background


It can ruin pictures if you don’t watch out. You don’t want any awkward positions, like something “sticking out” of the model’s head.


8. Fill the frame


Crop out anything that is not important in your picture. Express clearly what you want to be shown.

9. RAW rules


Shoot in RAW mode because it retains all the information you need. A camera raw image file contains minimally processed data from the image sensor of either a digital camera, a motion picture film scanner, or other image scanner. Raw files are named so because they are not yet processed and therefore are not ready to be printed or edited with a bitmap graphics editor.


10. Envision the end result


You can always fix the photo on Photoshop, and it is in place to be prepared and know what you will do with your photos.
